Employment

Psychologist

  • Close to beaches, forests, great food and lifestyle
  • Work in a professional and welcoming team environment
  • Applicants from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply

Whilst we don’t have a vacancy for a psychologist role at the moment, psychologists are welcome to get in touch and provide an expression of interest. Please find our standard ad below should you wish to reach out.

As the largest provider of psychological services on the far north coast, Mullumbimby Psychology is located within a quiet and beautiful space in the heart of town close to great food, amenities and a slower pace of life. Our organisation values environmental sustainability having implemented many great initiatives with more to come. Our team of 14 psychologists share lunchbreaks and enjoy monthly team breakfasts – catered by just one of the many fabulous local cafes. We provide services to children, adolescents and adults across a broad range of presenting issues using integrative, evidence based and client-centred therapies.

The successful applicant is ideally experienced in working across the lifespan, both with individuals and groups, although this is not essential. You will benefit from working as part of a relaxed, cohesive and professional team with full administrative support and regular referrals in our busy practice. As mentioned, we provide a great team environment with opportunities for regular connection – like our early career psychologist supervision group and volunteer work with our charity partner ReForest Now.

As a compassionate therapist with a track record of strong client retention, you will have the opportunity to work with a broad variety of presenting concerns and pursue your areas of interest. Essential is the ability to work autonomously matched by the desire to be a valuable part of our team. If you are passionate about supporting mental health in our community, we look forward to hearing from you.

Please include a tailored cover letter with your resume addressing the above selection criteria. You are welcome to call 02 6684 4748 to discuss the role further with the Principal Psychologist and have any questions answered.
