Child and Youth Psychologist

A vacancy exists for a psychologist (endorsements welcome) to work part-time in an established and professional private practice. Mullumbimby Psychology is located within a quiet and beautiful space in the heart of the Mullumbimby township close to great food, amenities and a slower pace of life. We provide psychological services to children, adolescents and adults across a broad range of presenting issues using integrative, evidence based and client-centred therapies.

The successful applicant needs to be experienced working with children and families. You will benefit from working as part of a relaxed, cohesive and professional team receiving regular referrals in this busy practice with the ability to set your own work schedule. Client bookings are managed through our reception service and provide regular group supervision is provided.

The successful applicant needs to be an experienced therapist, able to demonstrate good client retention and ideally have post registration experience. A Clinical Masters is desirable. Whilst our focus is on treatment, applicants need to be skilled in a range of assessments. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of childhood concerns such as anxiety, depression, school adjustment difficulties, trauma, ADHD, parental separation and autism spectrum. The opportunity to work across the lifespan is also available. Essential is the ability to work autonomously matched by a desire to be a valuable part of a team of psychologists who are willing to support mental health in the community.
