Clinical Psychologist | AHPRA Registered | APS Member

Cristina is a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) and a member of the Australian Psychological Society, with over 15 years of experience in the mental health field.

Originally from Brazil, Cristina migrated to Australia in 2008, beginning her career as a Mental Health Support Worker. She later progressed to roles as a Mental Health Case Manager and NDIS Support Coordinator, supporting clients with complex mental health challenges. Cristina is passionate about working collaboratively across programs to create strong, personalized support systems for her clients.

She has a special interest in grief and loss and the unique challenges associated with migration. Drawing from both her professional experience and personal journey as a migrant, Cristina is dedicated to helping clients navigate life’s transitions and build resilience in the face of change.

Cristina incorporates evidence-based therapeutic approaches into her practice, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – to help clients recognize and change unhelpful thought patterns.
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – to support clients in embracing difficult emotions while moving toward their values.
  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) – to assist in processing trauma and distressing memories.

An avid reader and podcast listener, Cristina might even prescribe a great book or podcast as part of your treatment plan!
