Fees:  50 min standard session
Full fee – $150 (*$65.20 gap with Medicare rebate)
Concession – $110 (*25.20 gap with Medicare rebate) 
(*Medicare rebate $84.80 with a GP Mental Health Plan)

Virginia offers a Bulk-Billing clinic for clients who are experiencing severe financial hardship. Current unemployment and Health Care Card or similar are required to be eligible for Bulk-Billing.

Virginia is a registered psychologist with a wide range of experience working in counselling with adults and adolescents for life challenges, depression, anxiety, recovery from trauma/ abuse, grief and loss, health issues, spiritual crises, pain management, and has a speciality in working with eating issues and body image.

Virginia brings principles and experience of a life long practice of mindfulness meditation to her work. She has a commitment to supporting people to develop a sense of wellbeing in mind, spirit and body, based on the latest understanding from neurobiology and drawing from experience in meditation and the arts. Virginia works with forming individualised counselling processes for each client offering options for exploring experience through integrating the latest in evidence-based cognitive methods such as CBT and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, with body-oriented somatic psychotherapy, including Hakomi, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Dance-Movement Therapy, and expressive arts therapy.

In addition to individual counselling, Virginia has experience in designing and running personal development groups through dance and movement, art therapy, mindfulness and meditation, spiritual exploration, as well as traditional CBT and DBT.

Qualifications:  Virginia has a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) from University of Sydney, and Post  Graduate Diploma of Psychology from University of Queensland. She is a registered psychologist and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS). Prior to completing psychology qualifications she acquired a Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Counselling. In addition to Graduate Diploma of Dance-Movement Therapy (IDTIA), Virginia completed a Masters of Expressive Arts Therapy (MIECAT).
