Fees: 50 min standard session
Standard Full fee – $175 (*$87.55 gap with Medicare rebate)
Standard Concession – $130 (*42.55 gap with Medicare rebate).
(*Medicare rebate $87.45 with a GP Mental Health Plan).

Emma has over 15 years clinical experience as a therapist across a range of different areas including child and adolescent, adult and refugee mental health. She has experience treating a wide range of moderate to severe mental health issues including anxiety, depression and mood issues, stress, trauma, grief & loss, acculturation stress and change, and parent/child relationship difficulties/ attachment. With clinical experience, compassion and a deep respect for interpersonal relationships Emma focuses on creating a safe therapeutic relationship within which clients can productively explore their concerns as well as identify their strengths. She draws on a range of therapeutic modalities depending on the client’s needs and preferences including psychodynamic, attachment, mindfulness, play therapy, emotion focused therapy and cognitive and behavioural strategies to help clients develop insight and skills that can lead to change and acceptance. As well as providing individual therapy and parenting support, she has experience in facilitating groups for children/young people and parents.
Qualifications
Emma has a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from James Cook University 1998 and a Doctor of Philosophy in Psychology (PhD) from the University of Western Sydney, 2005. Emma is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), is a STAP Approved Supervisor, 2015 and Circle of Security (COS) Parenting Facilitator, 2016.
