Miriam is a General Psychologist registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) and has experience in treating individuals, couples and families of all ages in the following areas: navigating life transitions; disabilities; anxiety; depression and disconnection; grief and loss; and recovering from trauma/challenges. Her background is in public health working with clients with sensory impairment, in not-for-profit organizations working with clients with autism, cerebral palsy and intellectual disabilities and in private practice. She uses a range of evidence based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Play Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy and will cater to the needs of each individual client. Miriam is a strong believer in people being experts in their own lives and the power of reframing to rethinking. Through her gentle questions, warm approach and clinical expertise clients will notice that they already possess the strengths and resources they need to create change. Miriam has a special interest in working with families and young people and has extensive training in strength-based therapies, e.g. Solution Focused Therapy, Signs of Safety and Kids Skills. 


Miriam has three degrees from the University of Lund, Sweden. A Bachelor in Nordic Languages, (B.A. linguistic orientation), a Bachelor in Psychological Science (BPsychSc), as well as a Master in Psychological Science (M.A. Psyc.). She also has a one year Diploma in Solution Focused Therapy.
