Nyssa is a General Psychologist registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA) with experience supporting adults and adolescents with a range of presenting concerns including crisis support, life challenges and transitions, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, health issues, relationship stress, parenting, pain management, and trauma. Nyssa is passionate about assisting her clients to heal and grow through their challenges, and holds a deep belief in each person’s innate capacity to heal and create a fulfilling life. Nyssa completed her two-year internship under the supervision of Mullumbimby Psychology where she developed her skills and knowledge in evidence-based therapies and interventions. Nyssa has special interests in perinatal support, Circle of Security and Conscious Parenting, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Self-Compassion, and chronic pain and health issues. She uses a compassionate, empathic, and holistic approach to support clients in difficult times and to gently guide them in reaching their full potential.

Qualifications

Nyssa has a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (Psychology) from the University of Sydney (B.A. Psych), and a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) (Honours) with First Class Honours from Charles Sturt University. She also has a Cert IV in telephone counselling skills and a Certificate of Competency in low intensity CBT from Flinders University.
