Nyssa is a provisionally registered psychologist who has three years’ experience in a brief low intensity cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) program for adults experiencing anxiety and/or depression, as well as supporting people in times of crisis at Lifeline. Nyssa has special interests in ACT, Mindfulness, and the role of nutritional medicine in mental health, and is passionate about helping people to create more fulfilling lives. She uses a compassionate, empathic, and holistic approach to support clients in difficult times and to guide them in reaching their full potential. Nyssa has commenced a two-year internship under the supervision of Mullumbimby Psychology to develop her skills and knowledge in evidence-based therapies and interventions. Nyssa has a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (Psychology) from the University of Sydney (B.A. Psych), and a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology) (Honours) with First Class Honours from Charles Sturt University. She also has a Cert IV in telephone counselling skills and a Certificate of Competency in low intensity CBT from Flinders University.
