Psychology is considered an essential service by both Federal and State Governments. As such Mullumbimby Psychology will remain open.

Vulnerable clients with a GP mental health care plan who have COVID-19, meet the current national triage protocol criteria for suspected COVID-19 infection or are in self isolation

OR are:

(i) at least 70 years old; or
(ii) at least 50 years old and is of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent; or
(iii) are pregnant; or
(iv) is a parent of a child under 12 months; or
(v) is already under treatment for chronic health conditions or are immune compromised

are eligible for phone or videoconferencing sessions.

We have a number of other telehealth options for other clients and are continuing to provide face to face sessions also. Please contact us with any questions or concerns.

Conscious Communication Group -
5 week group program in Mullumbimby

Mullumbimby Psychology is running a Conscious Communication Skills Group for adults. This is a small group program of up to 10 participants with the objective of creating a safe environment for experiential exploration of ways of communicating and enhancing relationships.

Conscious communication involves employing good communication skills coupled with awareness or mindful attention aligned with a state of inner peacefulness and an attitude of human-kindness. This 5-week program offers the opportunity to learn about different communication styles, practise mindfulness skills to generate states of mental, emotional and embodied calm, develop good listening skills and empathy to cultivate rapport, learn about basic assertive communication patterns to skilfully and respectfully express yourself, in alignment with your values and needs, and to act from a place of integrity.
